As the events industry further opened up on 19th July, many business networks are looking to start up their regular face to face events.  The British and Irish Trading Alliance is one such network that is built heavily around face-to-face social networking.

With a focus on business and community, BITA wanted to bring their quarterly business networking luncheons back as soon as possible but with a real focus on ensuring that they could provide all attendees with the assurance that they were going to be attending a ‘covid safe environment’.

Ahead of their first luncheons, which will be held on Friday 23rd July at London’s prestigious Royal Horseguards Hotel and on Friday 30th July at Liverpool Football Club’s Anfield Stadium, they started to work with the operations team at Tutum Workplace to understand how best to bring people in that were tested and confirmed negative, creating almost a ‘BITA Bubble’ for the event so all attendees could relax and be confident that they were as safe as possible to enjoy their event and meet with people.

The solution provided by Tutum includes self-testing, with a limited availability to test on site, collecting and collating test results of all attendees using our covid management technology. All attendees will be given access to their Covid Certification App powered by V Health where they will be asked to register their test results, of which they will be asked to self-test a day prior to the event.

The V Health passport will be utilised by the guests to show their testing status and gain easy access to the event space, creating a Covid controlled environment as only attendees with a negative status can enter the event. Should a person be unable to test pre-event, we will support further by providing limited testing on site on the day of the event.

The Tutum Workplace solution for these events requires a self-declaration, with each attendee self-testing and updating their own results onto the app provided it will help the process of event access run efficiently particularly with the number of guests registered to be attending each event. Should anyone require advice or support throughout the process our team will be on hand to assist and manage the flow of entry and provide any technical support where needed.

Controlling the return of events with Tutum testing management technology will provide confidence to not only event guests but also event staff as the hospitality and Leisure sectors open up further.
